US: Iran missile tests do not violate nuclear agreement
The White House says that Iran’s recent ballistic missile tests did not violate the nuclear deal between Tehran and the P5+1 group of countries last year. The White House spokesman made the remarks during a press briefing Tuesday. Earnest noted that pending technical issues relating to Iran’s missile tests may be raised at the United Nations Security Council at a later date. Tehran has repeatedly said that its missile capabilities are solely for defense purposes and they do not pose a threat against other nations. The West frequently tried to include the issue in the nuclear negotiations between Iran and the P5+1, but to no avail.
