US-Israel Gaza genocide
The Israeli regime continues its genocidal war on Gaza, killing at least 19 Palestinians and injuring dozens since dawn alone. The airstrikes targeted tents housing the displaced in Khan Younis’ al-Mawasi area, killing at least 15 individuals. Israeli fire also killed a Palestinian near an aid distribution point in the vicinity of the Netzarim corridor. Israeli occupation forces also targeted homes in al-Sabra and Beit Lahia, murdering six more civilians. The Gaza death toll since the genocidal war began in October 2023 has surpassed 57,100, with more than 135,000 Palestinians injured.
Slamming Israeli war crimes
The Iranian foreign ministry has condemned as "unprecedented" war crimes the incessant Israeli attacks on Gaza’s residential areas, refugee tents and aid distribution centers. Foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei pointed specifically to the bombing of the Mustafa Hafez School in Gaza City. He called out the US, Germany and other supporters of Israel for enabling the continuation of the genocide and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Regarding the occupied West Bank, Baqaei warned that Israel’s intention to annex the entire territory is a dangerous sign of the regime’s expansionist agenda. Baghaei urged Islamic nations and the broader international community to act immediately to stop the colonial plan aimed at erasing Palestine as a nation.
Russia-Ukraine war
The Ukrainian air force says Russia has launched 550 drones and missiles on Ukraine. This appears to be the largest aerial attack since the war began between the two neighbors. According to Ukraine, at least 23 people have been injured in the capital Kiev where railway infrastructure was also damaged. President Zelensky says Kiev endured a hard and sleepless night. Ukraine’s foreign minister also said the large-scale drone and missile attack showed Moscow is not interested in peace. The attack comes as the US President has said the phone call with his Russian counterpart resulted in no progress to end the war.
