Masar Badil highlights US, Europe’s complicity in Israel’s blocking of Gaza aid

The Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement (Masar Badil) says Israel has blocked the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip in violation of the ceasefire agreement, with the “complicity and inaction” of the United States, Europe and Arab regimes.

“The so-called ‘international community’ is aware of the nature and extent of the Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, the latest of which is the occupation’s order to stop the entry of our people’s aid on the first days of the holy month of Ramadan,” Jaldia Abubakra, a member of the executive committee of the Masar Badil, said on Monday.

“This is an ongoing war of starvation and extortion that will not break the will of our people and will not achieve the Zionists’ goals.”

Hours after the first phase of its ceasefire deal expired, Israel blocked the entry of aid shipments to Gaza on Sunday, which coincided with the first day of the fasting month of Ramadan.

Abubakra said the decision “expresses [Israeli prime minister Benjamin] Netanyahu’s disrespect for UN resolutions and violates the agreement that was signed in Doha through Egyptian-Qatari mediation and US sponsorship.”

Abubakra also censured the “shameful” international silence on the Israeli crimes and violations. “We are witnessing an unprecedented state of complicity and inaction on the part of the official Arab regimes and the European Union alike.”

He urged the supporters of Palestine, the resistance, and the organizations of the Masar Badil movement to “work on organizing popular and media pressure campaigns to expose the attempts of the racist entity and its supporters to evade their responsibilities and obligations, and to prevent them from continuing the policy of delay, starvation, and killing.”

Meanwhile, Abubakra appreciated the “courageous” Yemeni support for the Palestinian people after the leader of Ansarullah resistance movement warned the occupying regime against reigniting the Gaza war.

Abdul-Malik al-Houthi emphasized that any resumption of fighting would result in retaliatory strikes targeting the occupied territories.

Masar Badil said Tel Aviv “systematically” violates the ceasefire agreement, citing the regime’s its ongoing military escalation against Gaza and the humanitarian restrictions.

“Only 978 aid trucks were allowed to enter within 42 days, which is only 46.5% of what was agreed upon,” the group said.

Israel, the group added, imposes “strict restrictions” on the import of fuel, temporary housing, medical equipment, and building materials, and refuses to allow the entry of equipment needed to remove the rubble and recover the bodies of the martyrs.

On January 15, the Israeli regime, having failed to achieve any of its war objectives including the “elimination” of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas or the release of captives, was forced to agree to a ceasefire deal with Hamas.
