Israel violating Gaza deal

The Hamas resistance movement has reaffirmed its commitment to the Gaza ceasefire agreement, saying the release of Israeli captives has been postponed due to the regime’s violations. Hamas said in a statement that it has precisely fulfilled all its obligations in accordance with the deadlines. The movement said Israel, however, has delayed the return of the displaced people to northern Gaza and targeted them with shelling and gunfire. The regime has also blocked the entry of basic supplies, such as medicine and fuel. Hamas called for strict adherence of Israel to the agreement, rejecting any selective implementation of the deal. It said the delay in releasing captives is a warning to Israel to make it fully comply with the agreement. Hamas said it intentionally made the announcement five days before the scheduled handover of captives on February 15 to give mediators ample time to pressure the regime. It stressed that the door remains open to the prisoner exchange to proceed as planned, once Israel complies with its obligations.

Israeli crimes in West Bank

The Israeli military is stepping up its ongoing violence across the occupied West Bank, expanding the open-fire orders it used in Gaza to the Palestinian territory. According to Israeli media, the regime’s military has ordered its forces to kill any unarmed Palestinian, whether suspected or not, in the West Bank. The order has so far led to an increase in the number of Palestinian civilian casualties. The Haaretz newspaper quoted Israeli soldiers as saying that they have been allowed to shoot and kill Palestinians without even detaining them. Meanwhile, the regime’s large-scale onslaught on the Nour Shams refugee camp in Tulkarm continued, forcing hundreds of its residents to flee their homes. Eyewitnesses said dozens of families left the camp under duress after being forced out at gunpoint while Israeli forces fired live bullets randomly. Israeli army bulldozers also destroyed the camp’s infrastructure, cutting off electricity, water, and internet services. The raid on the Al-Far’a refugee camp also continued for the ninth consecutive day, forcing approximately 200 families to leave their homes.

Slamming Trump ICC sanctions

A group of UN rapporteurs has strongly condemned US President Donald Trump’s decision to impose sanctions on the International Criminal Court's officials. Issuing a statement, the rapporteurs expressed deep concern over Trump's move to impose sanctions on the court’s personnel as well as individuals or entities cooperating with it. They described Trump's decision as an assault on the rule of international law. The rapporteurs said the US president’s executive order is aimed at overturning the international judicial system and will weaken the court and its investigations of war crimes across the world. They stressed that the US is strengthening the power of perpetrators of war crimes by trying to punish the International Criminal Court. Trump has accused the court of abusing its power by issuing an arrest warrant for Israeli officials. Last November, ICC issued arrest warrants for the regime's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, and his former minister of military affairs, Yoav Gallant.
