Islamic Revolution anniversary
Iranians have thronged the streets across the nation to mark the 46th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution. Millions of people from all walks of life were out on the streets to celebrate the occasion and reaffirm allegiance to the ideals of the Revolution. They carried banners and chanted slogans in support of the 1979 Islamic Revolution. People rose up against the corrupt Pahlavi regime in the 1970s. Their struggles culminated in the toppling of Pahlavi’s tyrannical rule and the triumph of the Islamic Revolution on the 11th of February, 1979.
Iran president speech
Iran’s president describes the victory of the Islamic revolution as a divine day for the nation which rid it of a Western-backed oppressive regime. Masoud Pezeshkian made the comment in a ceremony to mark the 46th anniversary of the Revolution. The president said the key to the victory of the Iranian people in 1979 was their unity and this holds true even today. Pezeshkian called for vigilance, stressing that Iran is now in the middle of a full-scale economic war. The president also vowed that the nation would stand up to bullies, including the US. He further slammed the US president for his hypocrisy. Pezeshkian said Donald Trump talks about negotiations with Iran and, at the same time, signs off a memorandum that unleashes a full range of plots against Iran.
Israel West Bank Raids
Over the past weeks, we have been reporting that Israeli violence against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank has intensified since the start of the Gaza ceasefire. Now, an Israeli rights advocacy group has sounded a similar alarm, warning that the West Bank is "on fire." B'Tselem said since January the 19th, there have been more Israeli raids on cities and villages across the occupied territory, with dozens of Palestinians falling victim to those incursions. Regarding settler violence, the organization said Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian communities almost every night last week. It added that the regime's forces have backed armed settlers in those attacks. B’Tselem argued that the situation in the West Bank is different from what a ceasefire should look like, as Israel continues its "all-out war on the Palestinian people."
