Rejecting Gaza displacement plan
The Hamas resistance movement has strongly condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s proposal for the establishment of a Palestinian state in Saudi Arabia. The movement described the idea as being hostile to both Saudi Arabia and the Palestinian people. It said Netanyahu’s proposal reflects a supremacist approach and a colonial mentality that ignores the historical rights of Palestinians. Hamas also praised Saudi Arabia for rejecting Netanyahu’s irresponsible and impudent statements, which violated all diplomatic norms. The movement called on Arab countries to take a unified stance against Israel’s colonial and expansionist ambitions and stop its aggression against Palestinians. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also slammed any plan to expel Palestinians from Gaza. He stressed that no one has the power to remove the people of Gaza from their eternal homeland.
Hailing Gaza resistance
Iran’s foreign minister says Israel failed to achieve its goals in the genocidal war on Gaza. Abbas Araghchi said the regime was finally forced to sit for talks and come to an agreement with the same movement it was seeking to annihilate. Araghchi was speaking at a meeting with members of the leadership council of the Hamas resistance movement. He said Hamas managed to compel the enemy to accept a ceasefire based on conditions laid out by the resistance. Araghchi added that the resistance of the people of Gaza in a small territory against the Zionist regime’s unprecedented genocide will be remembered in history. The top Iranian diplomat reiterated that the US President Donald Trump's plan to force Palestinians out of Gaza is in line with the colonial conspiracy of eliminating Palestine, and is totally unacceptable. For his part, the head of the Hamas delegation, Mohammad Ismail Darwish, thanked Iran’s leader, government, and nation for supporting Palestinians. He described the victory of the resistance over Israel as a turning point in the history of Palestine. Darwish added that nobody can force the people of Gaza out of their own land.
Israel West Bank raids
Over the past weeks, we have been reporting that Israeli violence against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank has intensified since the start of the Gaza ceasefire. Now, an Israeli rights advocacy group has sounded a similar alarm, warning that the West Bank is on fire. B'Tselem said since January the 19th, there have been more Israeli raids on cities and villages across the occupied territory, with dozens of Palestinians falling victim to those incursions. Regarding settler violence, the organization said Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian communities almost every night last week. It added that the regime's forces have backed armed settlers in those attacks. B’Tselem argued that the situation in the West Bank is different from what a ceasefire should look like, as Israel continues its all-out war on the Palestinian people.
