Gaza ethnic cleansing plan
The White House backtracks on Gaza displacement plan a day after the US president unveiled a plan for Washington to take over the besieged strip. Leavitt said Donald Trump expects regional nations to step up and to accept Palestinian refugees who will be temporarily relocated for the rebuilding of Gaza. Meanwhile, Reactions to the plan continue to pour in from across the globe. Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman says the plan is in line with Israel’s project to annihilate Palestine. Esmail Baghaei said Trump's claim to owning Gaza was an unprecedented violation of fundamental principles of international law and the UN Charter. The Arab League also rejected the proposal, saying it violates international law and leads to further instability. The United Arab Emirates, Oman, the Palestinian Authority, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Brazil and China condemned Trump's plan as violation of Palestinians' rights.
West Bank worsening health system
Doctors Without Borders group says the healthcare system in the occupied West Bank has been in a state of perpetual emergency since October 2023. In a new report , the MSF said a dramatic escalation in violence, marked by prolonged Israeli military incursions and stricter movement restrictions have severely hindered access to essential services. It said the situation has worsened by frequent attacks on medical personnel and facilities. The group called for independent probes into past such attacks, for Israel to facilitate medical access to those in need, and to allow the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, to be allowed to continue its work.
Iran new drone carrier
The naval force of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps has unveiled its latest drone carrier, Martyr Bahman Baqeri, in the southern Iranian port city of Bandar Abbas. The vessel is a versatile naval platform designed to carry out a wide range of missions. This domestically-made carrier vessel is capable of carrying helicopters, drones, missiles and other warfare equipment. This ship is also equipped with an electronic warfare team, a missile drone defense team and long-range surface-to-surface missiles. The missile-launching vessels stationed on this ship are equipped with missiles that have a range of 30 kilometers. It has an operational range of 22,000 nautical miles. The chief commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, who was addressing the event, highlighted the vessel’s capabilities and its role in enhancing maritime security and operational readiness.
