Israel Lebanon aggression
The Israeli regime has carried out fresh airstrikes on Lebanon, leaving two people dead and ten others injured. The casualties were caused by an attack hitting the town of Janta in the eastern Bekaa region. There were two other aerial attacks on eastern and southern Lebanon. The new strikes come in violation of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon. On Thursday, Israeli forces committed 15 ceasefire violations. The total number of violations since the agreement took effect has risen to over 820.
'Resistance will continue'
The resistance front will be strengthened after Israel kills its commanders. This is the summary of what several resistance groups in the region have said after it was confirmed that a top commander of Hamas has been assassinated by the Israeli regime. Hamas says the assassination of al-Qassam Brigades’ chief commander, Mohammed Deif, will only make the group stronger and more determined to continue on the path of resistance. The Palestinian Islamic Jihad, for its part, stressed that the martyrdom of Hamas leaders strengthens the steadfastness of the resistance, and will force Israel to retreat. And Yemen’s Ansarullah movement said it is the blood of martyrs that keeps the resistance alive. It noted that the path of resistance will continue until the annihilation of the Israeli regime and liberation of the entire Palestinian territories.
Gaza kids need treatment
The United Nations says its agency for Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, will continue humanitarian operations in the occupied West Bank and Gaza. This comes in defiance of Israel’s ban on the agency that took effect on Thursday. Dujarric’s announcement comes as Israel’s order for UNRWA to cease operations in the West Bank and Gaza, has already drawn condemnations from different aid groups. Many say the agency is a lifeline for Palestinian children in Gaza. The UN chief, meanwhile, has demanded that 2200 kids must be immediately evacuated from Gaza, receive medical treatment, and then come back to their families and communities.
