Israel terrorist operations
The Israeli military has, for the first time, acknowledged that it was behind the killing of former Hamas leader, Ismail Haniyeh, in the Iranian capital Tehran in July. The announcement was made by the regime’s minister for military affairs, Israel Katz. He also warned that the Israeli military will assassinate leaders of the Yemeni Ansarullah movement in Hudaydah and Sana’a. Katz said the regime will kill Yemeni leaders just like it assassinated resistance figures like Yahya Sinwar in Gaza, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut and Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran. The acknowledgment comes after numerous and repeated operations carried out by the Yemeni Ansarullah movement against Israel in the past several months. The operations which include using drones and hypersonic missiles have targeted several cities across the occupied Palestinian territories, including the hearts of Haifa and Tel Aviv.
US-Israeli Gaza genocide
More Palestinian civilians are falling victim to the US-Israeli genocide in Gaza as the regime in Tel Aviv continues to pound the blockaded territory with more attacks. In one of the latest strikes, at least four people were killed and several others injured after Israeli warplanes bombed a vehicle near Deir al-Balah, central Gaza. A separate strike on a Palestinian home in Gaza City killed four other civilians, including a mother and her two kids. The Israeli artillery fire and drone strikes also caused fatalities in several parts of Gaza city. The attacks come as the situation in Gaza hospitals, including the Kamal Adwan hospital, is dire. Israeli forces are maintaining their tight siege of the facility for the third consecutive day, with 91 patients and medical staff remained trapped inside without medical supplies and food. The Israeli aggression, which began October last year, has so far killed over 45,300 people and injured more than 107,000.
Plight of children in Gaza
The head of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees says one Palestinian child is killed every hour in the Gaza Strip during the ongoing Israeli genocide. Philippe Lazzarini further said on his X social media account that “killing children cannot be justified. These are not numbers. These are lives cut short”. He warned that those who survive the ordeal will be scarred physically and emotionally. The UNWRA chief added that the clock is ticking for the children of Gaza, as they are losing their lives, their futures and mostly their hope. This is while, a recent report supported by War Child Alliance revealed that some 96-percent of children in Gaza believe death is imminent, while half of the 500 children surveyed, expressed a wish to die due to the relentless Israeli war. According to UNICEF, 14,500 children have so far been reported killed in Gaza, since the US-Israeli genocide began in October 2023. The actual number is believed to be much higher.
