Martyred leader funeral

Millions of mourners are getting ready to take part in the funeral procession for the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. The funeral procession for the martyred leader will take place through the streets of downtown Tehran on Monday morning. The funeral will conclude with three days of farewell ceremonies in the capital. Following the Tehran procession, the leader’s body will be transferred to the holy city of Qom for a dedicated funeral ceremony. From there, the procession will proceed to the holy Iraqi cities of Karbala and Najaf, before the final funeral procession and interment at the holy shrine of Imam Reza in Mashhad. During the three-day ceremony at the Imam Khomeini Grand Mosalla of Tehran, millions of mourners bid the final farewell to the martyred Leader. They waved red flags, which symbolized their demand for revenge, while chanting slogans against the US and Israeli regime.

Iran-US MoU

Iran's parliament speaker says the memorandum of understanding signed with the United States was a military and political defeat for Washington and an achievement for the resistance front. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf was speaking in a meeting with Mohammed al-Nuaimi, a member of Yemen's Supreme Political Council. He said through the memorandum, the US and Israel were forced to practically recognize Iran's allies in the resistance front. Ghalibaf noted that Yemen’s Ansarullah movement and people have proved that they stand against all oppressors that act against the rules of international law. He stressed that some Islamic countries, which were under the US’ influence and had relations with the Zionist regime as well, have understood that neither the US, nor Israel can bring them security. Iran's top parliamentarian added that the recent aggression against Iran proved to all countries which had close ties with the US and Israel, that they had chosen the wrong path.

US Iran aggression fallout

A new poll conducted by Western media says most American voters believe that US President Donald Trump’s war of aggression against Iran has not been worth the cost. According to the Financial Times poll, at least fifty-eight percent of registered American voters said the war was not worth the cost. The revelation came as the White House has asked Congress to sign off on sixty-seven-billion dollars in new federal spending to cover the expenses of the war to date. As many as 44 percent of voters said the war has left the US in a weaker position with Iran. The poll results came at a time that Trump faces growing criticism at home, including from fellow Republicans, over his handling of the war on Iran. The survey also showed that the war with Iran continues to drag down the president’s approval, as a result of a sharp increase in prices of gasoline and other consumer goods this year. The poll results, which came ahead of the November midterms, also revealed that only 36 percent of voters approve of the job Trump is doing as president.
