Hezbollah proclaims victory
Hezbollah says it has achieved victory over Israel, adding that its delusional enemy failed to break the movement’s resolve or diminish its willpower. Hezbollah Operations Room said in a statement that since October 1, Israeli forces failed to occupy or establish control in any of the frontline towns in southern Lebanon due to the steadfastness of resistance fighters. The group added that the Israeli enemy even failed to establish a military and security buffer zone as planned, and could not disrupt the launch of rockets and drones targeting the occupied territories. The movement said it carried out over 46-hundred operations against Israeli positions since the launch of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood in October 2023. Hezbollah said it also targeted dozens of Israel’s strategic and sensitive military and security bases, some of which were hit for the first time, killing over 130 Israeli soldiers and officers. The movement also destroyed a large number of Israeli Merkava tanks and military vehicles, while downing over half a dozen advanced drones.
Lebanon ceasefire
Iran’s foreign minister says the Hezbollah resistance movement has once again shattered the myth of Israel's invincibility by forcing the regime to accept a ceasefire. Abbas Araghchi said despite enjoying full US military support and political cover, Israel’s prime minister was forced to plead for a ceasefire after suffering heavy casualties in southern Lebanon. He added that over the past year, Benjamin Netanyahu milked US taxpayers of tens of billions of dollars to fund his war crimes in Gaza and Lebanon. The Iranian top diplomat concluded by saying that following its failure to defeat Hezbollah, it is now high time for Israel to accept defeat in Gaza too.
Hunger in Gaza
More than one year of US-Israeli genocide in Gaza has pushed the blockaded territory to a breaking point with international aid agencies voicing concern over humanitarian situation there. The UN Agency for Palestinian refugees has warned of repercussions of hunger across Gaza, saying it is reaching critical levels. Calling for an immediate ceasefire, UNRWA said people in Gaza are searching for leftover food in the garbage that is several weeks old. The agency said survival in Gaza is impossible without urgent humanitarian aid. UNRWA stressed that people in Gaza are suffering from Israel’s systematic starvation policy due to the scarcity of food supplies and the regime’s ban on the entry of humanitarian aid. The International Committee of the Red Cross also issued a similar warning, calling the humanitarian situation in Gaza unacceptable. The ICRC called for immediate respect for international humanitarian law and increased flow of humanitarian assistance in Gaza.
