Jan. 28: ‘Axis of Resistance’ operations against Israeli occupation

Resistance groups in Palestine and across the region continue their operations against Israel and its Western backers amid the regime's genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, which has killed more than 26,500 Palestinians, mostly children and women.

The operations carried out by the Palestinian and regional resistance groups on Sunday, January 28, are as follows:

Al-Qassam Brigades’ operations on Jan. 28:

• Targeted two Merkava tanks with Yassin-105 shells in Al-Amal neighborhood, west of Khan Younis city in southern Gaza.
• Targeted two Merkava tanks with Yassin-105 shells, in the Joura Al-Aqad area west of Khan Younis city in southern Gaza. 

Al-Quds Brigades’ operations on Jan. 28:

• Engaged in clashes with Israeli soldiers using machine guns and heavy weapons in the advancing fronts of Khan Younis city, southern Gaza.
• Engaged in clashes with Israeli soldiers using machine guns and appropriate weapons in the advancing fronts of Al-Amal, Al-Mask and Absan Al-Kabeera areas of Khan Younis city.
• Shelled IOF soldiers and their vehicles with mortar shells in the Tell Al-Hawa area southwest of Gaza City. Targeted military vehicles with RPGs in the Al-Amal neighborhood and Joura Al-Aqad west of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza.
• Blew up a Merkava tank with a barrel bomb in the axis of Al-Amal neighborhood west of Khan Younis city, southern Gaza.

Mujahideen Brigades’ operations on Jan. 28:

• Shelled the Israeli airbase in Rayyim with a barrage of rockets.
• Shot down an Israeli Evo Max 4T quadcopter drone, in southern Gaza with appropriate weapons.

Martyr Omar Al-Qasim Forces operations on Jan. 28:

• Engaged in clashes with Israeli soldiers on the axes of the central region of the Gaza Strip, using appropriate weapons.

Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades’ operations on Jan. 28:

• Shelled Israeli military vehicles and soldiers' positions in the eastern areas of Jabalia and Gaza City with mortar shells.

Hezbollah’s operations on Jan. 28:

Eastern sector:

• At around 14:00 local time, targeted a deployment of Israeli soldiers in the Honin barracks and its surrounding areas with a volley of missiles.
• At around 15:30 local time, a deployment of Israeli soldiers in the vicinity of Honin barracks was pounded with a Burkan missile.

Western sector:

• At around 12:33 local time, a gathering of Israeli soldiers east of the Birkat Risha site was targeted with missiles.
• At around 14:50 local time, a gathering of Israeli soldiers was targeted at the Tal Shaar site with a barrage of missiles.
• At around 22:30 local time, the Khirbet Ma’ar base was targeted by two Falaq 1 missiles.
• At around 23:00 local time, the Rahib site was targeted with Burkan missiles.

Iraqi resistance’s operations on Jan. 28:

• Attacked the US occupation base near Erbil Airport in northern Iraq with drones, causing destruction and casualties.
• Attacked four enemy bases, three of them in Syria (Al-Shaddadi Base, Al-Rukban Base, and Al-Tanf Base), and the fourth one in the occupied Palestinian territories (Zevulun naval facility).
• Attacked the US occupation base in Khirbet Adnan in Syria with drones, inflicting heavy damage.
