UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has been urged to implement fresh regulations that would prevent individuals with sexual offense convictions from running as a member of parliament.

The British government has sent a controversial anti BDS bill for parliamentary approval, resulting in protests against what is seen by many in civil society as an attack on freedom of speech.

"What we see here is a shameless attempt by the Israel lobby in the Parliament to whitewash Israel's criminality," former British MP Chris Williamson says.
