Rejecting intl. force in Gaza

The Hamas resistance movement has firmly rejected the establishment of an international military force in Gaza that would be a substitute for the Israeli occupation troops. Senior Hamas official, Mousa Abu Marzouk, said Palestinian groups have reached a consensus that maintaining security in Gaza must be handed over to Palestinians under the leadership of the committee that will manage the territory. He added that ceasefire mediators insisted that the international force in Gaza must be established by a UN Security Council resolution, but the US and Israel do not want this to happen. He also highlighted Israel’s violations after the enforcement of the ceasefire. Abu Marzouk said more than 190 violations have been recorded since the ceasefire agreement came into effect on October the 11th. He stressed that Israel failed to win the war on Gaza, and the Palestinian people never raised the white flag after two years of genocide.

Israel West Bank incursions

Tensions keep escalating in the West Bank, as the Israeli forces and settlers carry out new violent raids against Palestinians across the occupied territory. In one of the latest incidents, Israeli forces attacked the city of Ramallah, triggering confrontations with the local residents. The regime’s forces shot and injured a young Palestinian man before abducting him from the Al-Am’ari refugee camp. Separately, Israel forces attacked two Palestinian brothers near the occupied city of Al-Quds, while they were picking olives. Israeli settlers also attacked a village south of Nablus, setting fire to Palestinian-owned agricultural lands. The settlers, who were protected by the regiem's forces, prevented villagers from accessing the site to put out the fire and assess the damage.

Trump nuclear threats

Iran has strongly condemned US President Donald Trump's latest nuclear threats against the world as extremely alarming and a serious threat to international peace and security. Iran's UN ambassador made the remarks in a letter to the UN chief and the president of the Security Council. Amir Saeid Iravani said Trump's threats represent a flagrant violation of the United States' obligations under international law. He added that Trump's attempt at glorifying nuclear weapons and threatening catastrophic destruction of the world undermine decades of international efforts toward nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation. Iravani stressed that the US president’s threat to use nuclear weapons to destroy the world also risks igniting a new nuclear arms race, and dangerously lower the threshold for nuclear confrontation. He said Trump's remarks come at a time that the US is deliberately spreading disinformation to falsely portray Iran's entirely peaceful nuclear program as a threat to international peace and security. Iravani demanded the UN chief to bring this matter urgently before the Security Council, in line with the Council’s responsibility to maintain international peace and security.
