US-Israeli Gaza genocide
Gaza City continues to be the scene of Israel's latest strikes in the besieged Gaza Strip, as the regime forces press ahead with their ground offensive to capture the city. Israeli forces continued to detonate booby-trapped armored vehicles, and destroy residential homes northwest of Gaza City. According to Palestinian sources, the regime’s forces have destroyed twenty-five residential towers in the city during the past two days. Five civilians were killed and nearly 20 others injured in air and artillery strikes on Gaza City’s Tel al-Hawa neighborhood and a nearby area. Earlier airstrikes hit the al-Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza City, and the vicinity of Al-Mamadani Hospital, killing eight civilians. Palestinian photojournalist, Mohammed Alaa' Al-Sawalhi, lost his life in an airstrike in front of Al-Shifa Hospital, which also killed 13 other civilians. According to medical sources, four Palestinians died of malnutrition on Wednesday, raising the total toll to 432. The death toll from the Israeli genocide has surpassed 65,000, with nearly 165,700 others injured.
Gaza humanitarian crisis
The head of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees says Israel’s ban on the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza is meant to make life in the besieged territory impossible. Philippe Lazzarini said Israel has blocked trusted aid agencies from taking essential and life-saving aid into Gaza to bring about the physical destruction of its people by making the territory unlivable. He was citing a recent report by the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry, which concluded that Israel has committed genocide in Gaza. He added that instead of cooperating with the UN, Israel has prevented major UN agency, including UNRWA, from providing aid and humanitarian assistance to Gaza. Lazzarini stressed that Israel’s measures are in violation of the ruling by the International Court of Justice, which requires the regime to take all possible measures to prevent the commission of genocide. He urged all UN members to demand an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, and facilitate the organization's humanitarian operations to reverse famine in Gaza and provide critical assistance to its people.
Global support for Gaza
More than 20 international aid agencies have urged the United Nations and heads of state around the world to take immediate action to halt Israel's genocidal war in the Gaza Strip. The agencies warned that Israel’s ongoing blockade and attacks on Gaza risk completely draining life from the territory. They urged all governments to act to stop the Israeli violence, and end the occupation of Palestine. They also condemned Israel’s militarization of Gaza's humanitarian aid system, warning that it has become a deadly threat, with thousands being shot while trying to access food and water. The agencies’ call came after the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry concluded that Israel has committed four of the five acts of genocide defined under the 1948 Convention. It also came as Israeli forces continue extensive raids and shelling across Gaza City, with a massive military campaign targeting buildings and residential towers.
