Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian says the Israeli regime will have no power to achieve its goals if Muslim countries reinforce their unity and solidarity.

Pezeshkian made the remarks in a Sunday meeting with senior Iraqi Shia cleric and head of the National Wisdom Movement, Seyyed Ammar Hakim, who is on an official visit to Tehran.

He said the Israeli regime is a common enemy of Muslim nations and a tool in the hands of the United States and its allies in committing crimes, sowing discord and plundering the resources of Muslim countries.

He added that Iran believes that continuous unity and cooperation among Muslim countries in all areas will not only pave the way for development and progress, but will also prevent any power from sanctioning or defeating Muslim nations.

The president stressed the “vital and undeniable” need to be vigilant in the face of moves that create division among Muslim nations.

"The enemies of the Islamic Ummah seek to create rift and division among Muslims by raising divisive issues in order to advance their sinister goals. Therefore, we must act very vigilantly in the face of these conspiracies,” Pezeshkian emphasized.

He noted that Iran and Iraq enjoy deep-rooted relations based on religious and cultural bonds, reiterating that geographical borders can never affect mutual ties.

The president commended the steadfastness of the oppressed people of Gaza and the resilience shown by the noble Iranian nation during the Israeli-US 12-day war, asserting that no military might, including fighters, bombs and missiles, could break the unity.

Pezeshkian also pointed to the upcoming pivotal elections in Iraq and said unity and political cohesion, regardless of ethnicity and religion, will boost the country’s power

He reiterated Iran's commitment to help strengthen the national sovereignty of Iraq and the dignity of its nation.

For his part, Hakim praised the valor of the Iranian people during the Israeli-US war, highlighting the admiration of Muslims and all free nations in the world for their courage.

He said the Islamic Republic brought dignity and strength to Muslim nations and elevated its position among them.

Pointing to the excellent level of political relations between Tehran and Baghdad, Hakim called on both sides to take more strides towards enhancing trade and economic exchanges.

Hakim arrived in Tehran on Saturday to hold talks with Iranian authorities. During his stay, he met with Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani, Head of the Expediency Council Sadeq Amoli Larijani, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, and Ali Akbar Velayati, a senior advisor to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
