US-Israeli genocide in Gaza
The US-Israeli genocidal war continues unabated across the besieged Gaza Strip, claiming the lives of more innocent civilians. Northern Gaza City remains the focal point of the regime’s attacks. The deadliest strikes in recent hours hit the city’s Shati refugee camp, where two separate attacks killed at least 10 civilians, including a child. Two more children were killed in separate attacks on the city’s Tuffah and Sheikh Radwan neighborhoods. Israeli forces also reportedly used explosive robots to demolish more buildings and homes in the city. In central Gaza, two civilians were killed and 20 injured in strikes on an aid distribution center near Wadi Gaza. And in the south, three people died when Israeli forces fired on Palestinian aid seekers in Khan Yunis. So far, over a thousand aid seekers have been killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza. The US-Israeli genocide in the besieged strip has claimed the lives of at least 64,300 Palestinians since October 2023.
'West silent on Israeli nukes'
Iran’s foreign minister has condemned Western hypocrisy on nuclear proliferation. Abbas Araghchi says the West’s silence on Israel’s growing nuclear arsenal proves their concerns are mere ‘fluff.’ In a social media post, Araghchi said Western hysteria over nuclear issues in the region is not about the existence or expansion of atomic weapons. He said what matters to the West is who can advance scientifically, even through peaceful nuclear programs. Araghchi highlighted the West’s ‘deafening’ silence over the apparent growth of Israel’s nuclear arsenal, saying, however, that it does not surprise Tehran. He also noted that while the E3 and the US may be in denial, their silence eliminates any credibility to comment on nuclear non-proliferation.
Maduro warns US
Venezuela's president has warned the US against any military attack on the Latin American nation, after the deployment of several American warships near Venezuelan borders. President Maduro said the US is plotting a ‘violent regime change’ in Venezuela. He dismissed Washington’s accusations about Venezuela’s role in drug trafficking. The Venezuelan president said he hoped someone ‘sensible’ would brief his American counterpart, Donald Trum,p with facts. Maduro also thanked the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States for opposing the US military presence in the region. Tensions between the two countries soared after the Pentagon accused Venezuela of buzzing its warships in the Caribbean. Washington said it was deploying F-35 jets to intensify operations against what it called Latin American drug cartels in the region.
