Gaza tribunal

Former Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn is hosting a two-day event titled ‘Gaza Tribunal’ in London to scrutinize the United Kingdom’s role in Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza. In his opening speech, Corbyn said the suffering of the Palestinian people has gone on for far too long, with 60,000 lives lost since October 2023. He described how this tragedy is being livestreamed to the world, highlighting the dire humanitarian conditions in Gaza, including reports of children dying from starvation. Corbyn stressed that it is citizens’ duty to hold the UK government accountable for what is happening in Gaza. Prior to the event, he called the Gaza Tribunal an initiative aimed at securing justice for the Palestinian people. Corbyn also called for an independent inquiry into the UK’s role in Israeli genocide in Gaza. It includes examining the UK’s arms exports to Israel, the use of British surveillance aircraft, and the support of Israeli military actions in Gaza through Royal Air Force bases.

Yemen anti-Israel operations

The Yemeni army has launched its third operation against Israel within the past 24 hours, in support of Palestine and in retaliation for regime’s campaign of genocide in the Gaza Strip.

No to foreign troops in Ukraine

The spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned Europe’s prospective deployment of military forces to Ukraine. Maria Zakharova asserted that the purported security guarantees sought by Kiev effectively constitute assurances of heightened risk to the European continent. Zakharova stated that Russia unequivocally rejects any discourse regarding foreign intervention in Ukraine. She called such actions as fundamentally unacceptable and detrimental to regional stability and security. Her remarks came in response to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen’s declaration that the EU intends to deploy a multinational contingent to Ukraine. Meanwhile, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte affirmed that Russia holds no veto power over the deployment of Western troops to Ukraine. Representatives of a coalition of willing states, led by France and the United Kingdom, are scheduled to convene later on Thursday to finalize their commitments toward the proposed security guarantees.
