Rejecting E3’s 'snapback' threat

E3 has warned it may resort to a so-called "snapback" mechanism if no deal is reached with Iran over its peaceful nuclear energy program. In response, the Iranian FM says the three European countries lack legal and moral ground to trigger the "snapback."

Also, Iran's top security official, Ali Larijani, who is secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, said Iran is ready for talks, warning the EU against invoking "snapback."

This episode of Spotlight looks at the legality of the "snapback" mechanism, its consequences for the European side, and the possibility of triggering the mechanism.
