Karachi marks Ashura with large procession

In Pakistan’s southern port city of Karachi, Ashura 2025 was observed with solemnity and defiance.
The city hosted the country’s largest mourning procession, where thousands commemorated the martyrdom of Imam Hussain ibn Ali, a legacy that mourners say remains a rallying cry against oppression today. Muhammad Toori reports.
