Iran and the United States held a second round of indirect talks in the Italian capital Rome on Saturday, where Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and US envoy to West Asia Steve Witkoff led Iranian and American delegations respectively.
According to Araghchi, the relatively positive atmosphere in Rome led to progress on possible deal principles and goals. He also said optimism might be warranted with a great deal of caution.
Talking to Press TV, the top Iranian diplomat said technical negotiations would begin on Wednesday. This episode of Spotlight looks at different aspects of the second round of the talks.
