Gaza bloodshed unabated

Israeli forces continue to massacre more Palestinian civilians in Gaza as they press ahead with the genocidal war across the besieged territory. In a fresh wave of attacks, Israeli forces bombed central Gaza city killing 5 Palestinians and injuring several others. An airstrike on a house left another 6 people dead in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood in gaza city. The new fatalities bring today’s death toll to 25. The IOF also targeted tents housing displaced people in the city of Khan Younis, leaving two people dead. Artillery fire also struck Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza and Rafah in the south. These strikes follow a massacre in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood on Wednesday which claimed dozens of lives, injured over 100, and left 80 people missing. Since the genocide began in October 2023, around 50,900 civilians have been killed and some 115,700 injured.

Yemen Palestine support

The Ansarullah leader says the non-stop US aggressions against the Arab country cannot weaken the Yemeni armed forces or the morale of the resilient nation. Abdul-Malik al-Houthi stressed US strikes cannot halt Yemen’s support operations for Gaza or lift the blockade on the Israeli port of Eilat, that's now defunct due to successful Yemeni operations. He said the escalation in US attacks proves the effectiveness of Yemeni operations. He also slammed US attacks on civilian infrastructure and homes as a sign of desperation. Al-Houthi called US policies reckless and driven by greed, pointing to Trump-era trade wars and internal instability as signs of America's decline. He warned Arab nations not to be manipulated by US power politics and urged renewed focus on the Palestinian cause. The official also called for massive pro-Palestine demonstrations across Yemen to continue.

France to recognize Palestine

French President Emmanuel Macron says France could recognize a Palestinian state in June, joining almost one-hundred-fifty other countries who have already done so. Macron says the recognition will likely happen during an international conference co-chaired by Saudi Arabia at the UN headquarters. He said that in return for France’s recognition of Palestine, some countries in the Middle East could recognise the Israeli regime as a state. The remarks come amid mounting international calls for a political solution to the Palestinian issue as Israel keeps up committing genocide in Gaza.
