Resuming Gaza bloodshed

The Israeli military has resumed its deadly airstrikes on the Gaza strip after the regime announced the end of the ceasefire agreement with Hamas. IOF’s fresh airstrikes targeted Palestinian homes and other residential buildings in Gaza City and the southern city of Khan Yunis. Over 400 Palestinians, including women and children, have been killed with scores of others injured. Hamas has announced the martyrdom of five of its commanders along with their families in the latest attacks. The resistance movement says one Israeli captive was also killed and several were injured. According to the Palestinian Islamic jihad movement, the spokesman of the Al-Quds brigades has been killed as well. The White House has confirmed that Israel’s new attacks on Gaza are in coordination with the US.

Warning of war ramifications

Palestinian resistance movements have strongly condemned Israel’s renewed aggression on Gaza holding the regime’s prime minister responsible for the consequences. Hamas says Benjamin Netanyahu and his extremist cabinet have decided to overturn the ceasefire agreement, leaving Israeli captives to an unknown fate. The movement called on Arab and Islamic nations as well as the free people of the world to hold rallies to protest Israel’s renewed offensive on Gaza. A senior Hamas official says the confirmation of previous consultations between the Washington and Tel Aviv indicates the US direct complicity in this aggression. The Palestinian Islamic Jihad also says the new aggression will not give Israel the upper hand over the resistance, and won't extricate the regime from the crises plaguing it.

Gaza genocide slammed

The United Nations Secretary-General has expressed grave concerns over Israel's renewed airstrikes on Gaza. Speaking at a media briefing in Geneva, Rolando Gomez said that Antonio Guterres has also appealed for the remaining captives to be released unconditionally. The United Nations Children's Fund, UNICEF, has also demanded an immediate halt to the attacks, emphasizing the dire toll on Palestinian civilians. On the same note, the UN high commissioner for human rights has expressed horror over Israel's resumption of the genocide in Gaza. The UN humanitarian coordinator called the Israeli attacks on Gaza “unconscionable”. Meanwhile, several countries including Russia, Saudi Arabia and Qatar have called for the full implementation of the ceasefire to ensure civilian protection in Gaza. Norway has described the situation as a nightmare, underscoring urgent need for peace.
