Yemen US warning

The leader of the Ansarullah movement, Abdul Malik al-Houthi, has warned the US that the aggression against Yemen will be met with escalation, and that the support for Palestine will persist. Al-Houthi slammed the US for targeting civilian neighborhoods. He said supporting Palestine is an honorable stance that his people will never abandon, despite U.S. attempts to pressure them into doing so. The Ansarullah leader expressed pride in Yemen’s solidarity with Palestine, calling it a cause they will never regret. He also criticized Arab countries over their lack of serious action against the starvation of Palestinians inflicted by the Israeli regime’s blockade on the Gaza Strip. Al-Houthi described action against the regime as an ethical responsibility on the shoulders of Muslim and non-Muslim nations. He added that lack of action encourages the enemies to take greater steps in their aggression against the region.

Response to US aggression

The Yemeni military says it has targeted an American aircraft carrier in the Red Sea for the second time in 24 hours in response to deadly US airstrikes on the Arab country. Army spokesman, Yahya Saree, said the armed forces hit the aircraft carrier Harry Truman with a number of ballistic and cruise missiles and drones. He added that the armed forces succeeded in thwarting a hostile attack that the enemy was preparing to launch against Yemen. His comments come as the United States has carried out fresh airstrikes on Yemen, targeting several areas in the country’s north and west. Areas near the port city of Hudaydah and the Jawf governorate were among those targeted by US strikes. The fresh airstrikes followed Saturday's attacks that hit Yemen’s defense systems, including missile and drone launchers. Yemeni's health officials say over 50 people were killed in those strikes.

Plight of children in Gaza

The United Nations Children's Fund has warned that Palestinian children in the occupied territories are the main victims of Israel’s relentless military aggression. UNICEF said in a statement that nearly all the 2.4 million children across the occupied West Bank, including East al-Quds, and the Gaza Strip are affected by the regime’s aggression. It added that nearly a million children in Gaza are living without the very basics they need to survive, as a result of Israel’s total ban on aid entry. The world body noted that Palestinian children are facing the real consequences of deprivation of humanitarian assistance and protection, displacement, destruction or death. UNICEF emphasized that tens of thousands of children have been killed or injured during the ongoing Israeli aggression in the occupied territories. In January, UNICEF reported that since October 2023, over 14,500 children have been killed in Gaza, around 25,000 injured, and at least 17-thousand separated from their parents.
