Israeli war crimes in Gaza
The Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, has strongly condemned the Israeli decision to suspend the entry of humanitarian aid supplies into the besieged Gaza Strip. In a statement, Hamas described the decision as "cheap blackmail", a war crime, and a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement. This reaction followed the Israeli cabinet's announcement that it would not accept a ceasefire with Hamas without the release of captives. The regime also threatened consequences if Hamas continued to oppose the Gaza truce. Hamas has called for the implementation of the second phase of the ceasefire agreement with Israel. However, the Israeli cabinet has decided to extend the first phase of the deal until April. The second phase of the agreement includes negotiations for a permanent ceasefire, the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, and the reconstruction of the blockaded territory.
US arms for Israel
The US Secretary of State signs a declaration to fast-track the delivery of nearly 4 billion dollars in military aid to Israel. Marco Rubio has said in a statement that the administration used its emergency authority to expedite the aid delivery, allowing it to bypass congressional reviews. The aid package includes thousands of bombs and armored bulldozers. Since taking office in January, US president Donald Trump has okayed nearly 12 billion dollars in military assistance to Israel. The US Secretary of State also criticized former president Joe Biden for imposing a partial arms embargo on Israel, saying that it has been reversed by the new administration. Biden put on hold the delivery of 2,000-pound bombs to Israel due to concerns over potential use against the civilian population of Gaza.
Israeli crimes in West Bank
The killing of Palestinian children by Israeli forces in the West Bank has become an ordinary occurrence, as the regime escalates its violent aggression against the occupied territory. This, according to a new report released by the British newspaper, The Guardian. The report said the situation across the West Bank has worsened since the ceasefire in Gaza started in January. According to the report, Israeli forces have killed two children per week in the West Bank since the beginning of 2025. It added that human rights activists fear the death toll will continue to rise as Israel applies tactics used in Gaza to the West Bank, including displacing tens of thousands of Palestinians and destroying infrastructure. The child rights organization, Defense for Children International, says the lack of accountability for Israeli troops has effectively given them a green light to commit further violations in the West Bank. According to an Israeli rights group, the likelihood of a regime soldier being prosecuted for killing a Palestinian is just 0.4 percent.
