Gaza hospitals under attack
The Hamas resistance movement has strongly condemned Israel’s incessant attacks on healthcare facilities in Gaza, as the regime’s genocidal campaign rages on across the blockaded territory. The movement said while Israel blocks fuel delivery to hospitals, it is deceiving the international community with claims about allowing aid into Gaza. Hamas noted that exacerbating the healthcare system’s crisis is part of Israel’s ongoing plan to destroy Gaza’s health sector. The movement said the regime intentionally attacks hospitals and prevents fuel delivery in order to keep them in a state of permanent crisis. It stressed that Israel has no regard for the lives of thousands of patients and wounded individuals that are suffering due to restrictions it has imposed on hospitals. Hamas urged international organizations, especially the United Nations, to take immediate action and prevent the complete collapse of Gaza’s health sector.
Israeli atrocities
As the Israeli genocide in Gaza rages on unabated, the regime’s forces are ratcheting up their violence against Palestinians in the occupied territories, using increasingly aggressive tactics.Their latest act of brutality has been captured in a video, which is circulating online. It shows Israeli forces ruthlessly assaulting a Palestinian woman in the town of Qalanswa in the central part of the occupied lands. After a short verbal argument, they forcefully take off her hijab and remove her clothes. The video has drawn global condemnation of the regime’s violence that has claimed the lives of hundreds of Palestinians in the occupied territories. Earlier on Wednesday, the regime's forces killed three Palestinians, including two children, in an airstrike in the occupied West Bank’s Tammun village. The victims were members of the same family. Reports indicate that Israeli forces and settlers have killed at least 825 Palestinians across the occupied territories since October 2023.
UNSC meeting on Syria
Iran says any decisions about Syria's future must be made exclusively by its people, free from any external interference or imposition. The Iranian ambassador to the UN also called for the formation of an inclusive government in Syria through free and fair elections. Amir Saeid Iravani was addressing a Security Council session on Syria. He said the new Syrian government must represent all ethnic, political, and religious groups. Iravani also slammed unilateral sanctions imposed by Western countries on Syria as unjust and illegal, saying they must be lifted immediately. Describing Israel as the most significant threat to Syria’s present and future, he said the regime’s actions flagrantly violate international law and the UN Charter. Iravani said Iran’s presence in Syria was legal and at the request of its former government. He added that ensuring a Syria free of terrorism remains the cornerstone of Iran’s foreign policy. The UN Special Envoy for Syria also addressed the session. Geir Pedersen said Israel’s attacks on Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity as well as the country’s civilian infrastructure must stop.
