Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement has expressed its gratitude towards Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei for leveling support behind the country’s reconstruction efforts.
Sheikh Ali Damush, head of the movement’s Executive Council, made the remarks on Monday, saying, “We voice our gratitude towards Iran, Iraq, and countries that seek to help Lebanon’s reconstruction.”
He denounced those, who had tried to tarnish the group’s bid to compensate the victims of the Israeli regime’s intensified deadly attacks against the country by alleging that the movement did not intend to pay out the restoration fees.
Damoush said these individuals were disillusioned after pinning their hopes on Hezbollah’s failure to compensate the victims.
“But it was Hezbollah that rose up from the ruins so it would remedy the Lebanese people’s wounds.”
The official asserted that the movement would rebuild the destruction on the back of the blessed blood of its martyrs and the strong arms of the resistance’s fighters.
He reminded that the priority concerning the rebuilding process lied with the families, who had had their houses either completely or partially destroyed during the war, especially those dwelling in Lebanon’s border villages.
The group would endeavor towards completing the restoration process so the families would be able to return to their residences at the earliest opportunity.
According to the official, “The resistance would succeed in completing the rebuilding process in the same way that it triumphed over Lebanon’s Israeli invaders.”
Damoush said his group rose up from the war’s embers so it would prove that its promises to the Lebanese people were true.
