Countering Israeli aggression
Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian says all developments in Syria must be aimed at preserving the country’s territorial integrity. Pezeshkian made the comment in a meeting with his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on the sidelines of the D-8 summit in Cairo. He stressed that even the slightest infringement on Syria's territorial integrity would be unacceptable. The Iranian president also called for an immediate halt to Israeli aggression in the region. He said all Muslim nations are responsible for countering the crimes and aggression of the Israeli regime. Pezeshkian noted that if Muslim nations acted in unison, the Zionist regime would not dare to continue its aggression. Erdogan, for his part, underlined the importance of maintaining Syria’s stability and territorial integrity. He expressed hope that stability and security would be restored in Syria through collaboration between the two countries. The Iranian president also held meetings with his counterparts from Pakistan and Egypt on the sidelines of the summit.
Gaza health crisis
Palestinian officials in Gaza say Israel is deliberately targeting the besieged territory’s hospitals to destroy what has remained of its health sector. The Health Ministry also said in its report that Israel has already destroyed 75-percent of Gaza’s health care infrastructure. The regime has banned entry of medicine into Gaza while bombarding its hospitals and arresting medical staff. The ministry said patients, especially those with chronic diseases, are suffering greatly due to the lack of medicine, food and blankets. A similar report by Doctors without Borders revealed a sharp deterioration in Gaza’s health situation due to the ongoing Israeli attacks and the complete blockade of the territory. The MSF said the healthcare system in Gaza is totally destroyed, with less than half of its 36 hospitals operating partially. It added that Israel has forcibly displaced about 1.9 million people in northern Gaza, many of whom live in unsanitary environments that facilitate the spread of diseases.
Yemen retaliatory operations
The Yemeni armed forces have conducted a fresh operation against the Israeli regime and in support of the Palestinian people in the besieged Gaza Strip. The Yemeni army spokesman said a drone has been fired at an Israeli military target in Tel Aviv, and successfully hit its target. Yahya Saree stressed that the country stands ready for a long war with the Zionist enemy. He said Yemen’s operations will not stop until the regime’s aggression in Gaza stops and its siege is lifted. The drone attack followed Yemen's missile strike on the central part of occupied Palestine. That attack was carried out using two hypersonic Palestine-2 missiles and caused extensive damage, forcing settlers to take shelter. The regime targeted Yemen with airstrikes concurrent with the Yemeni missile attack, leaving a trail of death and destruction. The Israeli military says its warplanes targeted energy infrastructure, including an oil facility and two power plants in Sana’a. The port of Hudaydah was also hit. Nine people were killed in Israel’s attacks on Yemen.
