US-Israel Gaza genocide
The Israeli regime continues to target medical facilities across the strip, with reports indicating significant damage to the Kamal Adwan Hospital, located north of Gaza City. The hospital’s director, Hussam Abu Safia, told of the regime’s warplanes hitting more than eight buildings in its vicinity, one of which was inhabited. He said the attacks have killed at least 8 Gazans with children still trapped under the rubble. The attacks have significantly damaged the Hospital’s intensive care unit and burnt down its isolation ward. Meanwhile, injuries were also reported at Al-Awda Hospital in Central Gaza. The regime has also targeted residential areas and refugee camps across Gaza. Since the onset of US-Israeli war on Gaza in October last year, over 45,000 and Palestinians have been killed, with more than 107,000 others injured.
UN pro-Palestine resolution
Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has welcomed a UN General Assembly resolution in support of the Palestinians’ right to self-determination.In a statement, Hamas called the resolution the symbol of global solidarity with Palestinians and worldwide opposition to the regime’s occupation and crimes. The resistance group called for the practical implementation of such international measures to end the Israeli occupation and establish an independent Palestinian state. Earlier on Wednesday, the UN general assembly overwhelmingly voted in favor of a resolution that declared Israel's occupation of Palestinian territories illegal.
Syria political transaction
United Nations special envoy to Syria calls For Free And Fair elections in the Arab country after the transition of power. Addressing reporters in Damascus, Geir Pedersen urged a political transition that will be credible and inclusive. He called for humanitarian assistance to Syria and removal of international sanctions on the country. Pedersen expressed concern about the situation in Kurdish-held northeast Syria, saying a political solution is needed to overcome the challenges in the region.
