Aug 23: ‘Axis of Resistance’ operations against Israeli occupation

Amid Israel's genocidal war on Gaza, which has killed more than 40,200 Palestinians so far, the majority of them children, resistance groups in Palestine and across the region continue their operations against the Tel Aviv regime and its Western backers.

The major operations carried out by the Palestinian and regional resistance groups on Friday, August 23, are as follows:

Al-Qassam Brigades’ operations on Aug 23:

• In a complex ambush, targeted several Israeli military vehicles advancing in the vicinity of the "Star" factory southeast of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City with Al-Yassin 105 shells.
• Engaged in fierce clashes with Israeli forces that had infiltrated south of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City.
• Targeted an Israeli military Merkava-4 tank with an Al-Yassin 105 shell near the Abu Sultan Junction in the Tal Al-Sultan neighborhood, west of the city of Rafah city, southern Gaza Strip.
• Targeted an Israeli force stationed inside the Kamal Adwan School with an anti-fortification TBG shell, followed by clashes at point-blank range in the Tal Al-Sultan neighborhood in the west of Rafah city.
• Targeted four Israeli military Merkava-4 tanks with Al-Yassin 105 shells and a Tandem shell near the Abu Al-Daqqa junction in the Tal Al-Sultan neighborhood west of Rafah city.

Al-Quds Brigades’ operations on Aug 23:

• Targeted the "Zikim" military base with heavy-caliber mortar shells.
• Engaged in fierce clashes with Israeli soldiers and their military vehicles who had infiltrated south of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City.
• Bombed Asdod, Asqalan, and Israeli settlements in the Gaza envelope with rockets.
• Targeted Israeli forces with three anti-personnel and anti-fortification shells, and then engaged in clashes with the regime forces using hand grenades and automatic weapons in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood in Gaza City.
• Targeted Israeli soldiers and military vehicles who had infiltrated south of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City with mortar shells.

Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades’ operations on Aug 23:

• In a joint operation with the Al-Nasser Salah Al-Din Brigades, targeted the "Netzarim" military axis with a barrage of 107-caliber rockets.
• In a joint operation with the Al-Quds and Al-Nasser Salah Al-Din Brigades, targeted the "Kissufim" military site with regular 60mm mortar shells.
• Targeted Israeli forces that had infiltrated the vicinity of Hamad City, west of Khan Younis city, with regular 60 caliber mortar shells.
• Targeted Israeli forces with a barrage of mortar shells south of Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City.
• Detonated a number of pre-prepared explosive devices against Israeli soldiers and military vehicles in the fighting axis in the Old City of Nablus, occupied West Bank.
• Engaged in fierce clashes with Israeli forces storming the Old City of Nablus, occupied West Bank, using machine guns and explosive devices.

Mujahideen Brigades’ operations on Aug 23:

• In a joint operation with the fighters of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, targeted the Israeli military’s supply lines in the "Netzarim" axis with a number of 107mm rockets.
• Targeted the supply line of Israeli forces on the so-called “Netzarim axis” with a barrage of 107-type rockets.

Al-Nasser Salah Al-Din Brigades’ operations on Aug 23:

• In a joint operation with Saraya Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, targeted the "Kissufim" military site with a barrage of mortar shells.

Hezbollah’s operations on Aug 23:

• The Branit site was targeted with artillery shells.
• Israeli soldiers in Kiryat Shmona were targeted with drones.
• Surveillance equipment at the Jal Al-Alam site was targeted with drones.
• Israeli soldiers near the Metulla site were targeted with appropriate weapons.
• Israeli soldiers near the Ghajar site were targeted with appropriate weapons.
• The Al-Malikiyah site was targeted with artillery shells.
• Al-Marj site was targeted with appropriate weapons.
• Military buildings in the Metulla settlement were targeted with appropriate weapons.
• Military buildings in the Manara settlement were targeted with appropriate weapons.
• Military buildings in the Zarit settlement were targeted with appropriate weapons.
• Israeli soldiers near the Avivim site were targeted with appropriate weapons.
• Al-Samaqa site in Lebanon's Kfar Shuba was targeted with rockets.
