Hamas calls for intl. action

The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has slammed the Israeli prime minister’s pledge to continue the onslaught on the Gaza Strip until the resistance group no longer controls the territory. In a statement, Hamas said this clearly shows Benjamin Netanyahu’s objection to the ceasefire resolution adopted by the UN Security Council. Hamas also called on the US to stop its support for the genocide in Gaza and called for international pressure on Israel to end the regime’s war on the Palestinian people. Netanyahu made the pledge as he claimed his regime was ending the intense phase of fighting in the Gaza Strip. The Security Council adopted a resolution earlier this month that calls for the full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza. But the regime has so far refused to stop its genocide in the Palestinian territory, killing more Palestinians on the ground.

Israeli West Bank crimes

Israeli forces have stormed several towns and neighborhoods across the occupied West Bank, including Ramallah, Tubas and Tulkarm. Regime forces have also abducted a number of Palestinians including children during the raid.

Iran presidential election

Four days to go before Iran holds a key presidential election, candidates are scheduled to participate in their fourth and penultimate debate later on Monday. The debate will focus on political issues and foreign policy. The six candidates will take questions on Iran’s position in the world and how they are going to take on existing challenges. The contenders will also respond to questions raised by their rivals. A total of five debates take place before the Friday election. The last debate is scheduled for Tuesday. All debates are broadcast live on national TV and radio.
