Dec. 20: ‘Axis of Resistance’ operations against Israeli occupation

Amid the Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, which has already claimed the lives of more than 20,000 Palestinians, most of them children and women, resistance groups in Palestine and across the region continue their operations against the Tel Aviv regime and its Western backers. 

The operations carried out by the Palestinian and regional resistance groups on December 20, Wednesday, are as follows:

Al-Qassam Brigades’ operations on Dec. 20:

• A tunnel entrance east of the city of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza was boody-trapped, due to which a vehicle carrying Israeli soldiers was blown up as it approached the tunnel, resulting in heavy casualties. 
• An Israeli military installation in the Al-Mughraqa area in the central Gaza Strip was targeted with mortal shells, causing extensive damage. 
• A booby-trapped tunnel northeast of Khan Yunus in southern Gaza was detonated with Israeli forces inside it, causing casualties. 
• A Merkava tank belonging to the regime was hit with an 'Al-Yassin 105' shell east of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza, destroying it. 
• Two tanks and a troop carrier of the Israeli military were targeted with a 'Shuath' device and 'Al-Yassin 105' shells north of Khan Yunis city, destroying them completely. 
• Three Merkava tanks were targeted and damaged with 'Al-Yassin 105' shells east of the Jabalia refugee camp in Gaza. 
• At least eight vehicles were pounded in the Sabra and Tal al-Hawa areas in Gaza City, which resulted in intense clashes with enemy forces involving machine guns and hand grenades, causing heavy casualties among Israeli regime forces. 
• A battalion of dozens of Israeli soldiers who were hiding in a building in the Al-Daraj neighborhood northeast of Gaza City were targeted with shells and hand grenades, resulting in heavy casualties. 
• An Israeli infantry unit in the Saraya area of Gaza City was engaged in clashes, resulting in the killing of at least four Israeli soldiers.
• A Merkava tank was hit with an 'Al-Yassin 105' shell in the Tal Al-Zaatar area of Gaza, which is known for the 1976 massacre. 
• Two Israeli military tanks and a bulldozer were destroyed in the Al-Daraj neighborhood northeast of Gaza City. 
• A tank and two military bulldozers were flattened in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, east of Gaza City. 
• A Merkava tank was hit with an 'Al-Yassin 105' shell east of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, destroying it completely. 
• An Israeli army jeep carrying seven regime soldiers was targeted with an 'Al-Yassin 105'shell in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood of Gaza City, destroying it completely 
• Two Israeli military vehicles were targeted with Tandem shells in the Al-Mughraqa neighborhood in the central Gaza Strip. 
• A 'Third Eye' site, which provides military and intelligence services to the Israeli regime, was hit with a rocket barrage, causing extensive damage. 
• An Israeli infantry force and a military bulldozer were bombed east of the Shujaiya neighborhood, causing heavy casualties. 
• A battalion of Israeli regime forces was targeted east of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood with high-caliber mortar shells. 
• Two Israeli military tanks and a troop carrier were targeted with Tandem shells on Al-Jalaa Street and in the Yarmouk area. 
• A group of Israeli soldiers were engaged in clashes with machine guns and hand grenades east of Jabalia refugee camp, resulting in casualties on the enemy side.

Hezbollah's operations on Dec. 20:

Eastern sector:

• At around 15:00 local time, the Israeli-occupied Al-Abad site, opposite the town of Hula in southern Lebanon, was targeted with heavy weapons, which led to several casualties among Israeli regime soldiers.

Western sector:

• At around 16:10 local time, the Al-Rahib site, located on the border between occupied Palestine and Lebanon, was targeted with Burkan missiles, causing extensive damage. 
• At around 16:15 local time, artillery positions of the Israeli regime military in Khirbet Maar camp along the border with Lebanon were pounded with rockets. 
• At around 16:45 local time, an Israeli outpost in the vicinity of the Birkat Risha site near the Lebanese border was targeted with appropriate weapons, inflicting casualties on the enemy force.
• At around 17:15 local time, two Israeli military helicopters were hit above Shtoula and Evan Menachem.
• At 17:15, two Israeli military helicopters flying over Shtoula, Shomira and Evan Menachem were targeted with surface-to-air missiles, forcing them to leave the airspace.

Iraqi resistance's operations on Dec. 20:

• US troops stationed at the Ain al-Assad military base in western Iraq were targeted with rockets, causing extensive damage.
