Iranian armed forces hold military parades to mark Sacred Defense Week

Iran’s armed forces have held military parades across the country on the first day of the Sacred Defense Week. That’s an occasion marking the start of an eight-year war imposed on Iran in the 1980s by then Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein. In the capital Tehran, the military parade was held at Imam Khomeini’s mausoleum.
