Pakistan's Sindh government has imposed a ban on public gatherings in a bid to stem rising coronavirus cases.

Sindh is going into a complete lockdown after locals brushed aside the call and seriousness of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Army has been called in to ensure the implementation of the orders.

Doctors who are at the forefront of the fight against the outbreak are also impacted by the ban as public-transportation across the province is halted. We met Dr Yonas Khan on one of Karachi's road who was heading to work on foot.

Although critics have pointed to the shortcoming of lockdown and it's impacts on daily wagers, local officials believes the restriction is the only solution to address the crisis especially after the sudden spike in cases. Dr Zeba who works with Sindh government has this to say about the lockdown.

Country also observe a somber March 23, the Pakistan Day amid corona outbreak that has killed over five people in the country and thousands of people across the world.
