The national Dutch junior water polo team has beaten Iran at the 19th edition of Fédération Internationale de Natation (FINA) World Men’s Junior Water Polo Championships, which is currently being held in Serbia.
The Iranian water polo squad lost to the Northwestern European team 4-15 at Sports Center Milan Gale Muškatirović in the Serbian capital city of Belgrade on Friday to sustain its fourth loss in the tournament.
The Iranian outfit had overcome the South African contingent 15-9 the previous day.
Iran’s national junior water polo team had slumped to a 3-15 defeat against the American team on Wednesday.
Iran lost its opening match to Russia 2-19 on August 5, before going down to a 2-18 loss against Greece the following day.
Young Iranian athletes defeated their Puerto Rican counterparts 8-7 in their third match on August 7.
The 19th edition of the FINA World Men’s Junior Water Polo Championships opened in Belgrade, Serbia, on August 5, and will conclude on August 13, 2017.
