Iran’s national junior water polo team has bagged its third win in a row at the Singapore Water Polo Challenge, overcoming Australia’s University of New South Wales Magpies.
The young Iranian sportsmen, who had trounced counterparts from the host nation 4-3 in their second fixture at the international event the previous day, defeated their Australian opponents 9-7 on Saturday and the third day of the tournament.
The Iranian team is scheduled to take on Serbia in the final showdown, while Australia’s University of New South Wales Magpies and the Singaporean national men’s water polo squad will meet in the third-place play-off.
The Singapore Water Polo Challenge kicked off on June 8 and will run through June 11, 2017.
