"Iran begins removing active centrifuges"
Iran’s nuclear chief says the country has started to remove active centrifuge machines as part of the nuclear agreement with the P5+1 group.
Ali Akbar Salehi also said Iran will finally remove some 14,000 centrifuges out of the 20,000 machines the country possesses. He also said redesigning a modernized heavy water research reactor in Arak hinges on the P5+1 to fulfill a number of its remaining commitments. Salehi, however, noted that a meeting is to be held in this regard on Monday which could lead to Tehran begin the rebuilding process. Meanwhile, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency said lifting anti-Iran sanctions by the end of January is "not impossible". Yukiya Amano said Iran is undertaking its activities in connection with the nuclear agreement implementation at a very high speed. The IAEA has recently closed the case of Iran’s past nuclear activities, or the so-called PMD case.
