Hacktivists penetrate accounts of former US pointman on Iran, Robert Malley

Robert Malley, former US special envoy for Iran

The Handala hacker group has penetrated the accounts of Robert Malley, a notorious anti-Iran figure from the former US government led by President Joe Biden.

Handala said in a Saturday statement that it had released on its website some 150,000 new documents, including highly confidential emails and private chats on the X platform, related to Robert Malley, who served as Biden’s advisor and his special envoy on Iran.

The group said the documents contain undeniable evidence of the role of the Zionist lobby in designing and implementing US economic sanctions against Iran.

It said the documents also expose evidence of cooperation between Arab countries of the Persian Gulf with Malley and his team, to the extent that those countries became the executive arm of the Iran sanctions project.

Malley was a key figure in the Biden administration’s efforts to increase economic pressure on Iran through the imposition of sanctions.

The sanctions he designed have been used as a platform by the current US administration to continue pressuring Iran and to create public discontent within the country.

Iran has always maintained that the sanctions are futile attempts by US governments to force Tehran into making economic and political concessions.

Handala has expanded its successful hacktivist operations since the start of a US-Israeli aggression against Iran in late February.

The group has continued its attacks on key cyber infrastructure used by the US, the Israeli regime, and their regional allies during and after the aggression that came to a halt as part of a ceasefire on April 8.

The group’s manifesto includes support for resistance in the West Asia region against global imperialism.
