A high-ranking Hezbollah official has reiterated the movement’s principled stance in light of Israeli acts of aggression, stressing that steadfastness and resilience will continue until all Israeli-occupied Lebanese territory is fully liberated.
Mahmoud Qamati, Deputy Head of Hezbollah’s Political Council, ruled out US-brokered direct negotiations between the Beirut government and the Tel Aviv regime unless a complete and comprehensive ceasefire is established.
He noted that Hezbollah will continue its retaliatory operations until full liberation of Lebanese territory is achieved.
The senior Hezbollah official also expressed support for Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri’s rejection of direct talks with Israel, describing the position as unwavering.

He further noted that the Israeli military continues to repeatedly attack towns and villages in southern Lebanon, stating that dozens of civilians have been killed and injured as a result.
Lebanon and the Israeli regime extended their ceasefire for three weeks following a high-level meeting at the White House, US President Donald Trump said on April 23.
According to Lebanese authorities, nearly 2,500 people have been killed in Lebanon since the Israeli regime launched the aggression following Hezbollah’s March 2 operation, which was launched in retaliation for US-Israeli aggression on Iran.
Israel is occupying a strip in the south that extends 5 to 10 kilometers into Lebanon.
The Israeli regime’s military has reiterated warnings to residents of southern Lebanon not to cross into the area.
On Wednesday, Hezbollah resistance fighters carried out a series of operations against Israeli military positions in defense of Lebanon and its population, and in response to repeated attacks on areas in southern Lebanon.
Hezbollah fighters also targeted two Israeli Merkava tanks in a neighborhood of al-Qantra town with a kamikaze drone.
Another Israeli battle tank was struck and destroyed in a drone strike near the town of Beit Lif.
Earlier in the day, a gathering of Israeli soldiers came under attack with a barrage of rockets in al-Qantra.
No immediate reports on possible casualties or extent of damage were available.
