Hezbollah chief honors Ayatollah Khamenei's legacy 40 days after his martyrdom

Martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei (R) and Hezbollah's Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem

Hezbollah's secretary-general marks the 40th day since the martyrdom of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, hailing his time-tested legacy of contribution to Iran's and the regional Resistance Axis' steadfastness in the face of adversaries.

In a message on Friday, Sheikh Naim Qassem said the occasion was characterized by both "grief" and "pride."

"Although the pain of this loss is immense and its toll upon us is deeply agonizing, the station the Leader attained at the heart of the arena of struggle [in the face of the enemy], which is an honorable martyrdom, is far greater and more exalted," the message read.

'Source of strength for Muslims worldwide, resistance front'

Sheikh Qassem lauded the Leader for his fortifying the foundations of pure Muhammadadan Islam, continuing the path of the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Khomeini, and equipping the global Muslim nation with the principles of steadfastness, struggle, and patience.

Ayatollah Khamenei, the Hezbollah leader noted, encouraged the regional resistance front to commit to struggle towards liberation of Palestine and other occupied lands, "and instilled within us the spirit of hope for ultimate victory."

Inside the Islamic Republic, the martyred Leader guided the country towards a pioneering experience in righteousness, resilience, dignified life, and freedom, Sheikh Qassem stated.

According to the Hezbollah secretary-general, efforts invested by Ayatollah Khamenei towards the Islamic Republic's advancement were marked by attention to development and self-sufficiency independent of either Eastern or Western powers.

Sheikh Qassem commended the Iranian nation for staying true to Ayatollah Khamenei's legacy by standing up to unprovoked Israeli-American aggression after the Leader's martyrdom up until the point, where he was succeeded by his son, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei.

The Hezbollah leader also praised Iran's victory in the face of the aggressors under the new Leader, crediting the Islamic Republic for forcing the enemy to come to the negotiation table "in humiliation" and "submit to Iran’s rightful conditions."

Concluding the message, Sheikh Qassem pledged commitment on the part of the Lebanese resistance movement to struggle in the face of adversaries up until liberation from occupation.

"No matter the sacrifices required, we will remain on this path," he said, asserting that "the usurping Israel will never achieve its goals." "The youth of the resistance, with their spirit of martyrdom, alongside our dear, pure, and self-sacrificing people, will shatter the enemy’s plans."
