A still-secret “autopsy” carried out by the top US Democratic Party officials has concluded that Kamala Harris’ loss to Donald Trump in the 2024 US presidential election was linked to her stance on the Israeli regime’s genocidal war on Gaza.
According to a report by Axios on Sunday, the party’s report concluded that the Democrats lost a whopping 6.8 million young and progressive voters who had supported Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election over their poor Gaza policy.
The senior officials of the Democratic Party who reviewed the results in the election concluded that the Biden administration’s stance on Gaza had been a “net-negative” factor for their candidate in her bid against Trump for the presidency.
The Democratic nominee had shown strong support for the Tel Aviv regime during her campaign and repeatedly ignored growing calls from her support base to voice support for the Palestinians in Gaza, while also refusing to let Palestinian-Americans speak at Democratic platforms against the Zionists’ genocidal war.
The senior Democratic officials involved in the post-election “autopsy” concluded that the Biden administration’s support for Israel negatively affected the party’s standing among certain voter demographic groups, particularly the younger and progressive ones.
For a better assessment of the 2024 election, senior Democratic officials asked Democratic National Committee (DNC) aides to hold a closed-door meeting with activists from a pro-Palestinian advocacy group as part of their review.
Representatives from the Institute for Middle East Understanding (IMEU) Policy Project said DNC officials had acknowledged that internal data described the administration’s Gaza policy as a “net-negative” factor in the election.
The pro-Palestinian advocacy group has slammed the DNC for withholding the data partly because of its conclusions regarding the impact of the Gaza genocide on the 2024 US presidential election.
Democratic Party officials announced in 2025 that releasing the “autopsy” to the public could harm their efforts to win upcoming elections.
