Iran’s Kowsar satellite beamed celebratory messages across the country and into the region on Tuesday night, marking the 47th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.
The satellite received the messages and relayed them to stations inside Iran and to neighboring countries within its field of view, acting as “a bridge from space to convey the voice of the Iranian people to the world,” SpaceOMID, the private company that designed and built Kowsar, said in a statement on Wednesday.
The home-built satellite transmitted messages, conveying the commemoration of the Islamic Revolution as “a scene of power and dignity of a nation that has stood firm” in the face of adversaries.
On Wednesday, Iranians marked the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution with nationwide rallies by the millions.
Many countries, including Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan, extended congratulatory messages to Iran on the occasion.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry wrote on X, “Heartfelt congratulations to our neighbor Iran on the occasion of its National Day.”
Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari congratulated Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and the Iranian people on the national celebrations.
Earlier, Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman conveyed their sincere congratulations to President Masoud Pezeshkian.
