Iran adversaries warned
The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps says it is closely monitoring US and Israeli actions in the region, warning that any threat to Iran's national security will trigger an appropriate response. A senior IRGC official says the armed forces track threats from their earliest stages by closely monitoring the maritime environment surrounding Iran. He stated the idea of carrying out a so-called "rapid and clean” operation against Iran stems from an incomplete understanding of the Islamic Republic’s defensive and offensive capabilities. The official pointed out that US military deployments in the region are overstated. He said the buildup of foreign forces and military equipment in the region turns them into accessible targets. The IRGC official stressed that Iran would not initiate a war, but warned that responsibility for any unintended consequences would rest with those whose actions threaten regional stability.
Israel Gaza truce violations
Israel’s violations of the Gaza ceasefire agreement continue unabated, claiming the lives of more Palestinian civilians amid the territory’s worsening humanitarian situation. According to local sources, one civilian was killed by Israeli forces’ gunfire in the Halawa refugee camp in Jabaliya. Earlier, two more Palestinians lost their lives in fresh Israeli attacks in the al-Bureij refugee camp, in central Gaza, and the al-Tuffah neighborhood of Gaza City. The new fatalities increased the Palestinian death toll since the enforcement of the truce to nearly four-hundred-90. The regime’s genocide has claimed the lives of more than 71,600 Palestinians since October 2023, leaving over 171,400 others injured. Meanwhile, Gaza’s Civil Defense warned that the territory’s humanitarian situation has reached a critical and unprecedented stage, with the most necessities of life completely lacking. It added that thousands of civilians, particularly children, women, and the sick, are suffering from the aftermath of the genocide, and enduring hardships beyond human tolerance.
Trump immigration crackdown
As US President Donald Trump presses ahead with his immigration crackdown across the country, a new poll reveals that approval for his immigration policy has fallen to its lowest level since his election. According to the poll results, a majority of Americans believe that Trump's crackdown on immigration has gone too far. The poll gathered responses before and after immigration officers killed a second US citizen in Minneapolis during protests over deployment of immigration agents to American cities. It showed that only 39 percent of Americans approve of the job Trump is doing on immigration, while 53 percent disapprove. Trump's overall approval rating has also sunk to 38 percent, showing the lowest level of his current term. On the whole, some 58 percent of poll respondents said US Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have gone "too far" in their crackdown, while only 12 percent approved of their performance.
