Israel ceasefire violations

Israeli forces continue to violate the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, killing more civilians and destroying Palestinians’ homes across the war-torn territory. Gaza’s hospitals received three bodies during 24 hours, one of them belonging to a Palestinian killed in the latest Israeli attacks. Another Palestinian died from wounds she had sustained a few days ago as a result of Israeli shelling of a town, east of Khan Yunis, in southern Gaza. In the meantime, the regime’s forces carried out demolition operations on Palestinian homes in such areas as east of Khan Yunis, Gaza City, and the Jabaliya refugee camp. On Wednesday, Al-Qassam Brigades handed over the body of another Israeli captive to the International Committee of the Red Cross. The bodies of 15 Palestinians were also handed over to the Red Cross by Israeli forces, raising the total number of bodies received so far to 285. The death toll from the Israeli genocide since October 2023 has surpassed 68,870, with nearly 170,680 others injured.

Israel global isolation

Thousands of people in the UK have signed a petition calling for Israel to be banned from international football competitions over its genocide in Gaza. The petition, launched by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, has gathered 25,000 signatures. It also calls for the cancellation of the upcoming UEFA Europa League match between England’s Aston Villa and Israel’s Maccabi Tel Aviv. The campaign argues that teams representing a regime responsible for genocide and apartheid should be barred from international competitions. Israel has been facing widespread condemnation and sanctions for its brutal genocide in Gaza, which has killed more than 68,000 Palestinians. The regime is also subject to a world court ruling that orders the international prosecution of its senior officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Iran military might

Iran’s foreign minister says the country is now “more than ever” prepared to defend itself, warning that any new aggression will fail to achieve its goals. Abbas Araghchi said Iranian armed forces did their best during the 12-day Israeli aggression, stressing that Iran’s defense and missile capabilities are now even stronger than before the war. The top diplomat added that Iran's heightened readiness has reduced the likelihood of any future aggression against the country. Araghchi said the enemies launched the war based on false assumptions that Iran’s strength had weakened due to regional developments, such as what happened in Syria and Lebanon. He also cited the Leader of the Islamic Revolution’s call to make aggressors regret attacking Iran, describing it as Tehran’s main strategy during the war.
