Iran nuclear program

Iran’s foreign minister has once again rejected US and Israeli justifications for attacking the country's nuclear facilities. Abbas Araghchi cited recent remarks by the International Atomic Energy Agency’s chief, who affirmed that Tehran has never sought to develop nuclear arms. Araghchi was referring to Rafael Grossi’s statements at the UN headquarters, who said the Iranians “are not, and they were not,” attempting to develop nuclear weapons. Iran's top diplomat also cited similar remarks by his Omani counterpart, who affirmed that an Iranian 'nuclear threat' has never existed. Araghchi said these comments expose the heinous lie behind US and Israeli claims that their unlawful attack on Iran was driven by an imminent nuclear threat. He added that Israel targeted diplomacy out of fear that its 'Iran Demonization Project' might fail. The top diplomat described the US-Israeli aggression against Iran as an act that effectively blew up the negotiating table, while Iran stood firm by it.

Israel breaking Gaza truce

Israeli forces continue to breach the Gaza ceasefire agreement, conducting fresh air and artillery strikes across the war-torn territory, despite Hamas’ commitment to the deal. In their latest truce violations, Israeli artillery blew up several residential buildings in eastern Gaza City, and the eastern part of Khan Yunis, in southern Gaza. Heavy Israeli gunfire also targeted the Al-Bureij refugee camp. The regime’s forces demolished residential homes east of Khan Yunis, while Israeli drones opened fire east of the al-Tuffah neighborhood, in Gaza City. Gaza’s hospitals received seven bodies within 24 hours, including three new fatalities. The death toll from the Israeli genocide is approaching 68,870, with 170,670 others injured. Hamas also delivered the bodies of three Israeli captives, including Colonel Asaf Hamami, to the Red Cross after their extraction on Sunday. Health officials have issued a serious warning about the rapid spread of a neurological disease among children in Gaza. They said nearly 200 cases of Guillain-Barré syndrome have been recorded this year, which is a globally unprecedented number.

Israel West bank atrocities

Palestinian towns and cities in the occupied West Bank remain the target of violent attacks by Israeli forces and settlers, resulting in more casualties and damage to property. In one of their latest incursions, Israeli forces seriously injured a 17-year-old Palestinian teenager in the town of Beit Furik, near Nablus, who later succumbed to his injuries. A few hours later, an Israeli settler opened fire on another Palestinian teen near the northern entrance to the city of Al-Khalil, killing him on the spot. Israeli forces then abducted his body. Separately, Israeli settlers, protected by the regime’s forces, attacked Palestinian olive pickers in the town of Aqraba, south of Nablus. The new raids came after the UN agency for Palestinian refugees raised the alarm about escalating settler violence across the West Bank. UNRWA warned that October 2025 is on track to become the most violent month since the agency began monitoring settler attacks in 2013.
