Israel Lebanon threats

Israeli officials have threatened to escalate attacks against Lebanon, despite a ceasefire in place with the Arab State. In a cabinet meeting, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the regime would act as necessary, if Lebanon does not take steps to disarm Hezbollah Resistance Movement. Earlier, the regime’s minister of military affairs also warned of escalated attacks against the Arab country, designating the capital a possible target. Yisrael Katz also criticized Lebanese president Joseph Aoun for ordering the army to protect liberated areas from further Israeli incursions. Despite a November 2024 ceasefire with Hezbollah, Israel maintains troops in five areas in southern Lebanon and has kept up regular air strikes, claiming to target Hezbollah infrastructure.

Israel Gaza demolitions

Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement with Hamas continue. A Palestinian man was killed from an Israeli drone attack on the Shujaiya neighborhood, east of Gaza City. The regime’s army also carried out extensive demolitions of Palestinian homes in Gaza City and southern city of Khan Younis on Sunday. There has been heavy Israeli gunfire in the eastern parts of those areas as well. Meanwhile, Israeli warplanes launched three airstrikes on Rafah, south of the Strip. Over the past 24 hours, the bodies of seven victims arrived at hospitals in Gaza, including three newly killed ones. Since the ceasefire agreement in October 2025, over 200 people have been killed by Israel. This has raised the death toll since October 2023 to over 68,860.

US stabbing attack

In the UK, at least eleven people have been hospitalized, two of them in life-threatening condition, following a mass stabbing on a train travelling from Doncaster to London. Police say a man armed with a knife attacked passengers after the train passed through Peterborough in Cambridgeshire. The service made an emergency stop at Huntingdon, where armed officers arrested two British nationals, aged 32 and 35, on suspicion of attempted murder. Authorities said there is no indication the incident was terror-related. Prime Minister Keir Starmer condemned the attack as “appalling” and “deeply concerning,” vowing tougher action against knife crime. A major investigation is underway, and Huntingdon station remains closed as forensic teams examine the scene.
