Israel ceasefire violations

The Israeli military has carried out fresh deadly attacks in Gaza, in blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement with Hamas. At least 100 Palestinians have been killed, a majority of whom are women and children, in the renewed strikes. Among the targeted areas is Khan Yunis, where over a dozen Palestinians lost their lives. In central Gaza, 10 Palestinians were killed after Israeli forces bombed a residential home in the Nuseirat refugee camp. Casualties were also reported in Gaza City, including in al-Shati refugee camp and the al-Zeitoun neighborhood. The renewed attacks came after reports of an Israeli soldier being killed in Rafah. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attributed the killing to Hamas, claiming that the Palestinian group had violated the ceasefire. Netanyahu then ordered intensified strikes on Gaza. The death toll from the genocidal war on Gaza stands at over 68,500.

Slamming Israel Gaza violations

Israel’s blatant ceasefire violations in Gaza are drawing sharp condemnation from resistance groups and regional countries. Hamas condemned Israel’s renewed strikes, saying they are proof that certain parties are bent on breaking the Gaza ceasefire agreement. The movement called on truce mediators and guarantors to take immediate action to pressure Israel to stop its brutal escalation against civilians in Gaza. The Islamic Jihad movement also said Israel is pursuing a systematic campaign to destroy civilian lives. The group added that the recent attacks reveal a deliberate strategy masked by false pretexts. The Islamic Jihad spokesman also held the US responsible for enabling the Israeli violations. He said Washington must pressure Israel to honor the ceasefire instead of remaining silent and justifying the aggression. Turkey’s Foreign Ministry also condemned Israel’s latest airstrikes on Gaza, urging Tel Aviv to respect the truce and warning that civilian casualties threaten hopes for lasting peace..

Anti-Trump protest

President Trump also expressed optimism about finalizing a trade deal with South Korea very soon, calling the agreement “incredible victories.” He also met with his South Korean counterpart. In the meeting, Lee Jae Myung presented Trump with a replica of a gold crown. But Trump’s visit to the South Korean city was met with a protest. Hundreds of protesters gathered outside the Gyeongju National Museum, where Trump and Lee sat down. Several days ago, there was a similar anti-Trump rally in Kuala Lumpur while the US president was in the Malaysian capital for an ASEAN summit.
