Israel ceasefire violations
Hamas has handed over the bodies of four Israeli captives held in Gaza to the International Committee of the Red Cross under the territory’s ceasefire agreement. Israeli army has confirmed the delivery of the bodies by the resistance movement. The delivery had been already delayed due to what Hamas described as difficult field conditions, caused by Israel’s ceasefire violations. According to Gaza’s medical sources, despite the enforcement of truce, Israeli forces have killed at least ten civilians in Gaza until noon on Tuesday. Rescue teams and crews have recovered more than 250 bodies since the ceasefire went into effect, despite facing a severe shortage of heavy equipment needed to remove the rubble. Israel has also informed the UN that it will restrict the entry of aid trucks into Gaza to 300, which is half the previously agreed number. Fuel and gas entry will only be permitted to meet specific humanitarian needs. Hamas has condemned Israel’s violations, calling on truce guarantors to make the regime abide by its commitments. The Israeli genocide's death toll now exceeds 67,900, with over 170,100 others injured
Gaza reconstruction plan
The United Nations has issued a stark warning about the scale of destruction of Gaza by Israeli forces, saying millions of dollars are needed to reconstruct the territory. According to a senior official at the UN Development Program, reconstruction of the war-ravaged territory needs around seventy billion dollars. Jaco Cilliers said the destruction in Gaza is almost beyond comprehension. He noted that the Israeli aggression against Gaza has left behind at least fifty-five million tons of debris and that full recovery could take decades. Urging all parties to respect the ceasefire, Cilliers said Gaza today is one of the most destroyed places on earth. According to the UN Satellite Center, approximately 83-percent of buildings in Gaza City have been either destroyed or partially damaged and entire areas of the territory have turned into barren wastelands. The UNDP says it has removed about 81,000 tons of rubble so far, as part of a long-term rehabilitation plan for Gaza.
Slamming Israel violations
Iran has condemned violation of the Gaza ceasefire agreement by Israel, as well as violent raids by the regime’s forces and settlers on Palestinians in the occupied West Bank. Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Esmaeil Baghaei, said the occupying regime is addicted to breaching its promises and abusing ceasefire opportunities to escalate its crimes against Palestinians. He noted that, at least, ten civilians have been killed by the regime’s forces in Gaza in the past 24 hours, while its forces and settlers have stormed and defiled the al-Aqsa Mosque compound. He called on ceasefire guarantors to hold the regime accountable and force it to stop its crimes. Baghaei also warned about the consequences of inaction of ceasefire guarantors with regard to the Israeli regime’s acts of aggression against the people of Gaza.
