The commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force has underlined the full preparedness of his force to decisively and promptly confront any enemy threat or act of aggression, four months after Israel launched a 12-day war against the Islamic Republic.
During a meeting with the head of the Judiciary Organization of the Iranian Armed Forces, Hojjatoleslam Ahmadreza Pourkhaghan, in Tehran on Tuesday, Brigadier General Seyed Majid Mousavi said that all of the damage sustained has been repaired and operational capacities were fully restored.
“By the grace of God, with the restoration of the damage, we are in full readiness to respond swiftly and determinedly to any enemy threats and acts of adventurism,” he stated.
Mousavi also highlighted the role of the IRGC Aerospace Force during the Israeli regime’s assault on Iran, which was backed heavily by the United States.
For his part, Pourkhaghan emphasized the military might of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the decisive role of the country’s missile and drone units throughout the 12-day imposed war.
He also expressed satisfaction over the country’s significant advances in missile technology and enhancement of the Iranian Armed Forces’ combat capabilities.
“During the 12-day war, the crushing blows of Iranian missiles and drones, given a high volume of destruction and precision, besides penetration through multi-layered defenses, changed the fate of the imposed war in favor of the Islamic Republic of Iran and compelled the Zionist enemy to surrender and demand a ceasefire,” Pourkhaghan noted.
He added that Iran’s missile and drone power has become a nightmare for “the child-killing Zionists.”
The official said that the United States has proposed reducing the range of Tehran’s missiles to less than 500 kilometers. “Of course, the Americans will take the wish to the grave,” Pourkhaghan asserted.
He also referred to Iran’s powerful missile strike on US-run al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar in retaliation to Washington’s recent attack on three Iranian nuclear sites, and the January 8, 2020, ballistic missile attack on US soldiers stationed at al-Asad Air Base in western Iraq.
Pourkhaghan stated that the strikes were unique in their kind since World War II, and exhibited how influential the IRGC Aerospace Force and other armed forces are in the enemy’s calculations.
On June 13, Israel launched an unprovoked aggression against Iran, triggering a 12-day war that killed at least 1,064 people in the country, including military commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians.
The United States also entered the war by bombing three Iranian nuclear sites in a grave violation of international law.
In response, the Iranian Armed Forces targeted strategic sites across the occupied territories as well as the al-Udeid air base in Qatar, the largest American military base in West Asia.
On June 24, Iran, through its successful retaliatory operations against both the Israeli regime and the US, managed to impose a halt to the terrorist assault.
