US-Israeli genocide in Gaza

The Israeli regime continues its strikes against Gaza despite US President Trump’s claim of a halt, and children are paying the highest price. In the past 24 hours alone, at least 70 Palestinians have been killed, including those seeking aid. Another residential apartment in west of Gaza City has been struck, wounding at least three civilians. Israeli drones also targeted displaced Palestinians in southern Gaza, injuring several people. This comes after attacks on al-Tuffah neighborhood in east of Gaza City, which killed a baby girl under three months old. Meanwhile, the number of hunger-related deaths has risen to 460, a third of which are children. Since the regime began its genocide in Gaza in October 2023, at least 67,130 Palestinians have been killed.

Israel land grab policy

Israel is bent on seizing more and more of the occupied West Bank. Reports now say the regime has approved a plan to confiscate over 35-thousand square meters of land from a Palestinian village to expand a settlement there. According to the Palestinian Wafa news agency, the plan, reported in Israeli media, calls for the construction of 58 new settlement units. Since the Gaza genocide began, the Israeli regime has escalated settlement expansion at an unprecedented pace, defying international condemnation and repeated calls to halt such activities. Palestinians say 117 new settlement outposts have been established since 2023. They say the move is part of a broader policy of Judaization on the ground, paving the way for annexation. Israeli officials have openly spoken of annexing Palestinian areas into the Israeli‑occupied territories.

Iran slams E3 stance

Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araghchi has reaffirmed that the decades-long dispute over Iran’s nuclear program can only be resolved through diplomacy. Araghchi also condemned the Europeans’ activation of the snapback mechanism to reinstate international sanctions against Iran as an ineffective measure. He asserted that, like military threats, this action serves only to complicate efforts toward a negotiated resolution. Araghchi noted that the European parties erroneously believed that invoking the mechanism would exert pressure on Iran; however, this approach failed to yield any constructive outcomes. The Iranian foreign minister noted that the European approach toward the Islamic Republic will certainly diminish their roles in the future negotiations. Back on August 28, the United Nations restored international sanctions on Iran after France, Germany and Britain activated the so-called snapback mechanism. Iran has rejected the European measure as illegal.
